Crimson Curse

The Crimson Curse was first created by the founders of the Crimson Court, who named their chapter of the Order of the Silverblade after the curse. The curse, itself, turned the skin of its victim red, and, if untreated, eventually led to skin breaks and spontaneous bleeding. Some affected by this curse may even explode in a messy display of gore.
The curse first started at Ulstrom Keep, first affected the servants of House Starblight. This curse was believed to be an attempt to target the vampires, and take down the royal family. It is believed that the curse was created by the Order of the Silverblade.
In the early days of this curse, it was unknown if it was a transmittal curse, and the keep was put onto lockdown. Those afflicted with the curse were killed by member of the Ebony Legion, and their bodies burned.
After many centuries of this curse terrorising the empire, House Starblight hired Advanced Alchemy, Inc to research this curse and find treatment. With this, the curse has mostly ended, and its documentation now allows most remove curse spells to end its effects. The King Eternal, Sebastian Starblight is said to have declared that those who had continued to enact the curse will be found out, and hunted down.
