The North Ring Geographic Location in Magmoia | World Anvil

The North Ring

The central continent of Magmoia is riddled in secrets, fanciful tales of rare and vicious beasts, and strange magical anomalies.   High in the sky above Magmoia lies a cluster of extremely bright stars, 8 in total and all with varying colors.   Northernmost star: The Brightest, Clear White Light Second clockwise: A truly bright yellow Third: Midnight Purple with an eerie blacklight center. Fourth: The crackling Orange spitfire Fifth: The Green emerald Sixth: Blood Star Seventh: Lavendar Kiss, Pink center with a bright purple halo. Eighth: Blue Tide, center is teal with a radiating white halo   the stars form what is know as the {North Ring} due to the stars forming a circle in the night sky in an array of beautiful colors. Many who travel use the constellation as a way of navigation as the stars will always point travelers north.   The constellation also has another tale behind it. Some say that the constellation leads to one of the greatest gifts ever to be left on Magmoia and that they led to the island of Amarna on the far northern expanse of mountains.   few have attempted to follow the constellation onto the shores of Amarna in fear of the dangers that await, and rightfully so as any who have ventured deep into the northern reaches of Amarna never left its hazardous shores.   The farthest anyone had made it was back to the beach where they died on the sands of Amarna. A lone explorer returned after a party of nearly 15 set off into the northern reaches. The lone survivor of the carnage collapsed on the beaches near the boat they brought them to the island and when the crew found him he was all but dead and with a mouth full of blood she spat out one-word "Monster"   after the tale had been spread through the land the constellations name slowly changed from "The North Ring" to "The Monsters Ring"
