Ri'Otselen (Crown of the Seven Stars) Item in Liria | World Anvil

Ri'Otselen (Crown of the Seven Stars)

Elves are highly protective of this object and it has been said, then if you hunt for this crown, never bring an Elf along, for they will return alone.
A common idiom among treasure seekers
This exquisitely designed crown was the rumored creation of the ancient Elven jewelsmith, Beinamath. Once the shining symbol of the rightful authority for Emperor/Empresses of the The Elven Conclave, now lost to time and history. Seven points adorn this crown each one representing one of the seven kingdoms of elves that once dominated Liria. Made from Caldrite infused with Orichalcum and inlaid with four large stones of crystalized Aether. The crown was said to be lost during the War of the Morning Star in 6827 AC when Emperor Súldir was deposed by his brother, Lachion. The standing rumor accepted by history is the crown was secreted away by a loyal servant to prevent Lachion from claiming true authority.   The crown is highly sought after by collectors, historians, mages, and most of all, the Elves. It is said that Ri'Otselen contains not only the memories, thoughts, and knowledge of past Emperors and Emperesses but every bit of arcane knowledge the elven race possessed. The crown is also rumored to be a focal point for the collection of Aether and greatly increased the arcane ability of anyone who wore it. Other rumors that many hunters have comes to believe; the crown allows the users to be able to communicate and understand any language, written or spoken; the ability to influence or mind-control anyone in its presence; even as far fetched as to be able to communicate with the gods directly. The elves themselves even forgotten or refuse to reveal much of what is the truth and what is the fiction behind this mythical object.
