The Staff of Aerune Tigith

Aerune Tigith is famous for creating many of the legendary magic items of Kyrn, but perhaps her most famous creation is her staff of power.
As Aerune developed her skills and procedures for manufacturing magic items, she was bothered by the limited power that her creations exhibited when they were completed. She was constantly researching ways to imbibe her creations with greater power. At first it was just a challenge to her, but over the years it turned into an obsession. She sent her students on may quests to the far ends of Kyrn to bring back rare manuscripts, materials and magics to further her research into creating the most powerful of artifacts. Eventually, she had enough knowledge accumulated to piece together the steps needed to reach her goals, but she also realized that she would not be able to harness enough of the Flow to do it herself. At first, she brought her students in to assist in the control and harnessing of the flow, but they did not possess the drive, talent and willpower to be able to help on more than one or two items before they died while manipulating the Flow. Aurune then undertook the creation of her Staff of Power.
The Staff is said to have been used to create many of the other magic items that Aerune Tigith is credited with creating. A student of hers wrote that she used the staff at the end of the creation process to transfer power from the Flow directly into the newly created item, but with a magnitude that no one else has been able to match. The Staff has many other rumored powers including being able to maximise spells cast by the wielder, and extend the range and area of effects of spells.

It is believed that the directions for making the staff are located in The Library of Aerune Tigith.

Raw materials & Components

The Staff is constructed of Brierwood and has a twisted top end that encompasees a large emerald. Runes along the staff are inlaid with mother of pearl and mithral.
