Lithatian Tribunal
Intro
The judicial organisation enforcing justice throughout the Rilian Empire, and it’s territory’s.
The Lithatian tribunal takes it name from the god of order Lithaytias, who is one of the six great gods of the Rilian, gods who are not only permitted by the state but who’s churches and orders have representation in government.
Role
The tribunal’s role as judiciary is to hold all citizens of the Rilian to the rule of law, and if anyone citizen or not should break Rilian law within it’s borders, the tribunal shall place them on trial, where justice can be dealt.
However, despite being the most powerful judicial organisation it is not the only one, with countless other smaller bodies serving under it.
Enforcement
The Enforcement of laws issued by the tribunal are carried out by the national law enforcement organs organisation known as the Carnation Decree, which are based in every settlement throughout the empire.
In addition to ‘Carnations’ enforcing judicial enforcement, the Tribunal also often use a number of bounty hunters and mercenary organisation’s, especially when local ‘Carnations’ are either stretched too thin in their duties or have been compromised in some sense.
Ranks
The hierarchy of the Lithatian tribunal stretches from the lowliest court clerk to the highest Justicar, no matter the position held in the tribunal, whoever may it be they are hold immense power in the Rilian, both political and judicial.
Facilities
The tribunal mostly operates out of court houses known as ‘Argent Courts’’; grand domed buildings of marble and calcite, that make their unique architecture stand out to everyone in a settlement, reminding inhabitants that the Tribunal is ever present and it’s dutiful gaze never wavers.
