The Desperate Request of StreamCrossing

The Desperate Request of StreamCrossing is a letter sent from StreamCrossing to Aerodouth  back in the days when both were young settlements barely 500 strong. This letter was request from StreamCrossing to Aerodouth to send soldiers to StreamCrossing to aid them in their defense against the then hostile wood elves of The Red Forest. This, along with the letter sent after the soldiers had been sent and the battle fought, are preserved in the Library of Aerodouth where citizens can freely view it to boost the morale of the soldiers of Aerodouth and their families.

Purpose

To persuade Aerodouth to send soldiers to StreamCrossing to aid them in defending against wood elves which had launched an all out attack from The Red Forest.

The Desperate Request of StreamCrossing

Brave and honorable King Tallius,
StreamCrossing and Aerodouth have long been allies, sending aid to one another when it was required and accepting each others citizens within their borders as their own. I would ask that you remember what our cities have done for each other as I explain StreamCrossing's plight. The wood elves of The Red Forest have declared war in the form of an all out surprise assualt. It would seem that the diplomats we had sent had failed and are likely dead. Our own militia was able to repel the first attack on our city however it is to my dismay to say that we are unlikely to be able to hold out against more attacks such as these. The elves killed sixty or more of my men and the river itself has become hostile to us with foul tempered elementals and the forest glares at us as awakened trees bar us entry into the woods we depend on. It is because of our desperate situation that I beseach of you, honorable King, that you would send as many men as you are willing to aid us. Admittedly there is little compensation we can give in return as the attack has left the river unsafe and the docks broken, and as such most of the commerce of RiverCrossing has ceased. But I can offer my undying friendship and an alliance everlasting between our two cities should you be willing to help us.
It is unbecoming of me as a leader to speak as I am now, but generous king, I beg of thee, save us.
