Arcblight

Arcblight is a disease that, until recently, had been incurable. It is still unknown how it truly works due to its primary mechanisms involving a person's aether reservoirs which are largely misunderstood.

Origin...

It is called Arcblight because of it's disease like properties that affect the afflicted Kaiurs aether reserves that exist in each of us. The primary method of transmission occurs when the affected Kaiur channels their inner aether with another for things such as enhanced rituals requiring more than one Arcanist or caster. Another form of infection is interacting with blighted Aether mists in the wild or exceptionally poor quality aether oil or shards. (See more about the outlawing and regulation of Aether Arcanists).
The primary symptoms of this disease is an inescapable fatigue that grows greater each passing day, sapping the users energy away and eventually the afflicted's life itself. In extreme cases near the end of a person's arcane reservoir they may spontaneously combust into blue arcane flames that ignite all but the most resilient materials.
This rare medical occurrence is theorized to be the body's overreaction as a defense mechanism to surge the arcane reservoir and maintain balance. Unfortunately the disease’s rapid consumption rate near the end of the reservoir mixed with an overreacting influx of arcane energy results in a devastating chain reaction.
One of the indicators for early warning of this disease is the weakening of ones arcanist abilities even with sufficient rest but the wielder must be fairly intune with their capabilities to notice the slow drain.

The Cure...

While the methods of the disease are unknown a cure was found, by pure luck or divine intervention no one knows but no one argues with the results either. During the very recent awakening of the Gacu Kaiur from a cryosleep it was noticed that Kaijin Primes cryosleep chemical compounds had incredible regenerative and restorative capabilities though far too concentrated for Kaiur to be administered without sufferring rapid mutation or suffer from deadly tumors.
The key as it turned out was simply converting the fluid to a vapor inhaled over many small doses across a long period of time. This was mistakenly discovered by an infected Mekkan Technologist researching the Gacu Cryosleep chemical compunds.
The infected researcher, Naika Cerceti, accidentally torched their sample and breathing in the vapors after feeling faint from the effects of Arcblight. Almost instantly as Naika lay on the ground, falling in and out of consciousness, the chemical compounds heated enough to form healing vapors. Upon inhalation Naika became lucid from the faint and delirious state she woke and set right to work testing and confirming the vapors effects on her own failing health. She was able to confirm that, through proper dosing and repeated treatments, the chemical mix when heated and inhaled as a vapor could can clear the ailment of Arcblight and several other maladies of Ur. Possibly one of the most fortuitous accidents in known history having now saved many Kaiur that would have been lost to Arcblight.
The treatment has since been dubbed Cerceti’s Vapors by the Kaigenesis Covenant’s Technologist research community and is propagated throughout the Kaigen Collective for emergency use only by Exo-Knights or other vital components of the collective.
Unfortunately the chemical compounds from the cryosleep fluids are yet to be replicated or manufactured outside of the initial batches produced by the Kaijin Prime but it is only a matter of time before the skillful sanctioned Arcanists, Technologists and researchers uncover the key to replicate this miracle drug.
