Akashic Record Halls

One of the divine realms of Vædra, the Akashic Record Halls are named for the goddess Akashia (also Akashika, Atalashkha) and it is their home realm. Within the realm is contained the entirety of Akashia's record of all events that have ever occurred, are currently occurring, or could ever possibly occur within Eledra's creation.

Geography

When one can see through Forwei's darkened sky through the barrier into Vædra, The Storehouse is marked as a gentle, lavender orb drifting through the heavens. It seems to hover in a static place even as other realms shift and jostle about it.   When viewed from Vædra the roiling, lavender clouds that cover the surface can be seen rapidly moving about the sphere. As one approaches it would seem to be a massive storm that is perpetually raging about the entire realm. From within though, the environment is unnaturally still. The clouds seem to drift only barely and high in the atmosphere. As the surface there is no notable weather of any sort. The temperature is perpetually a neutral, slightly warm 24 degrees.

Fauna & Flora

The Akashic Record Halls are rather inorganic in presentation, with no notable flora or fauna to be found outside the servants of Akashia who take forms of animals, often reddish-white foxes, eagles, or crabs.

Natural Resources

While within the Storehouse mortals feel no effects of time, meaning they do not age, tire, hunger, or thirst. Nevertheless, some mildly warm water can be found in a series of fountains connected by small waterways that seem to run like a circulatory system throughout the realm. The water is not harmful to consume.   Beyond this, the only resource found in the Akashic Record Halls is knowledge. The vastness of what one could possibly learn there is only matched by the seeming impossibility of the task of finding any specific information one desires. If a proper offering is made, the servants of Akashia or even the goddess herself could offer assistance, but as visitors to her realm are so uncommon there is no known story of this having been attempted so what would be considered a suitable offering is unknown.

History

The Akashic Record Halls was one of the first realms created in Vædra and Akashia is rarely seen outsider their realm, even before the expulsion of the Children from Isesda. At the instant of its creation, the Storehouse already contained the entirety of the records and Akashia's purpose has been both keeper and organizer of the endless knowledge held within their domain. Access to the records is a gift granted only a handful of times in the long history of creation, usually granted only to the Everwise.   The Shelves remain in stasis, showing no clear passage of time or sign of decay of any sort. In this timeless realm where all of creation past, present, and future is simultaneously known it is difficult to describe a proper history, but all previous Everwise who passed from the mortal realm have come to care for the halls alongside their patron and can be met should one visit the goddess' realm. This may cause some mental distress should the Everwise encountered be one not yet born.   On Isesda, the Akashic Record Halls have had little historical impact on the realms, being rarely discussed and even less commonly worshiped among the great movers of the world. Akashia's philosophy of observational noninterference tends not to attract those who have the will to greatly impact the mortal world.
