Bridge Stonehouse Organization in Frale Tides - Time of the Blue | World Anvil

Bridge Stonehouse

A community of Bridgeform on the second level on the floor of the Dust. They have a gated and guarded access point to enter the Dust where they work.   The bridgeform consist mostly of Humane that are resistant or immune to Fogworn and Frale that Effects are benefical to working near the dust rather the maincities.   Humane and Frale can be separated like in large cities, but its often not as prevalent as there's a need for space saving and a greater sense of community.   The bridgeform make their living supplying the maincities and towerways with valuable resources that would be too dangerous for other Humane to gather so close to the Dust. From small livestock to gathering duststone and Ancient Sand to farming Diritchvew Gran and Gandile Flowers, they sell it all at their Bridgeside Council.   While referred as one house, it's appears as a longhouse made of stone, covered in spiked, rocky stone ceilings. Inside are smaller buildings made of more inexpensive stone and materials that house the Bridgeform living inside. There's a large commonroom for cooking and communal living, with a large public bathhouse for all to use.   Along with everything closed off from the Break, silence is another stark contrast from the tall Maincity. While the stonehouses are generally built in flatter landscapes of the Dust, duststone and their growing patterns can change, growing closer around the stonehouse, causing shade and giving Ancestral Species a place to stalk the community. Because there could be no warning, the bridgeform have learned quiet is a big key of safety.
Fun Fact: I tried out a a very short visual novel format to tell a tall about a nameless bridgeform passenger on a carriage ride, FRALE TIDES: Bridgeway Carriage.
"The closest stonehouse has been struggling to keep up the resources to our city, and that last Blackout caused the carriage carrying their lastest supplies to be lost over the bridgeway. Times are going to be tough unless we can import some resources from a stonehouse further from us..."
