Conduits rarely have very obvious uses and the fireknifes are some of them.

Fireknives are essentially conduits that, when activated, create a transparent, blue-purple blade which is capable of cutting through anything. When it does so it burns and melts everything in the blades path, even caturising wounds.

Owning a fireknife imediately makes one a target for thieves and criminals, just as a criminal with a fireknife alerts lawenforcement to take action.

The last time a new fireknife came fourth it was noteworthy news for years, although that was decades ago.

Significance

The fireknives are highly desired prices in war, as they allow a combatent to completely bypass the opponents armour and alows the opponents weapons to be destroyed. The short reach of these weapons are a disadvantage, which is why they are usually held in reserve for when the distance is small enough to make them viable.

There are only a handful of Fireknives, and it is always big news if one goes missing or comes back into the public eye. Each one has a slightly different design, allowing them to be traced in a way that other conduits can't.

There are currently 24 fireknives catalogued, with 17 having known locations. Cataloging is done when a knife is found, and it means that it is described and sketched.

One of the famous ones is the one nicknamed "armslicer". It was last seen during the war of misunderstanding where it was by all acounts a force to be feared. The conduit was red with dark blue accents and was the longest bladed one ever found.
