And when One Who Walks stepped out of view, the memory of them vanished as well. As hard as their followers tried, none could remember what One Who Walks looked like. They only remembered the words, the belief. The logical part of the congregation's mind said this should scare them, but it didn't. It never would. Not again.One Who Walks Under the Hanged is the mysterious head of the Under the Hanged Cult. There are many presumptions about them, but hardly any of them substantiated. Even the thought that they are a vampire, with all the evidence supporting it, is unknown. They have taken residence in Slandwar for the past thirty years. For the greater half of that they ran the secrets of the Ditch, but in recent years their influence has faded.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
While none remember what One Who Walks looks like, it is generally believed they are above average height and of a strong yet slender build. They do not appear to be hindered by any injuries or illnesses and their physical presence is recalled as powerful, even if that is all one can be certain of.
Physical quirks
One Who Walks often touches the people they speak with: taking their hands, on shoulder or back, or even brushing back one's hair. They prefer to be close to those they speak with for this reason.

Personal history
Not much is known about the One Who Walks. It is believed they neither lived nor died in Slandwar, but they exist there now. Twenty years ago they had must of the Ditch under their thumb, but their power has waned in the last few years.

they have no qualms with sexual relations with any and all sexes or genders, though their occasional partner still never remembers any physical attribute of One Who Walks after they leave

One Who Walks is fair-minded by their own standards. They hold their reason as absolute, but hold everyone to the same standard. Highly intelligent and autonomous, their followers appear to be both important and inconsequential simultaneously.

One Who Walks believes in deontology. Good and bad are exactly defined and actions are clearly delineated as one or the other depending on the act itself, not its consequences.

Speaking the name of those considered powerful is forbidden by One Who Walks and is likely the reason for their current address. According to their principles however, it is only taboo once one is aware of the power.

The only desire One Who Walks makes any mention of is to spread the word of their religion - which is as simple as to say guilt is meaningless, for you should always mean what you do.

They also avoid going into stores, because if they enter they always come out having bought something, even when it isn't something they want or need.

One Who Walks believes guilt is an absolute evil. If one does something, they have intended to do it, and people should not be ashamed by themselves unless they are not who they are meant to be. They teach that those should strive to be good, but if they do that then they should stand by their actions. Intent matters more than consequence. If the consequence isn't what one meant, then they are not to be blamed. Most people fail to live up to One Who Walks' standards, but they expect this.
Some followers believe One Who walks has not only come to spread their word, but to allow the most faithful of them to ascend to eternal existence as well. Despite none of them seeing a fellow follower change into a vampire. Yet they wait.

Quiet, smooth, yet perfectly enunciated, One Who Walks would fit perfectly on a stage. If they want you to hear what they have to say, you will hear it. Outside of occasional exhalations as filler when they are thinking of what to say, the rest of their speech doesn't include much padding.
