City Hall

City Halls are public properties that operate as a location inside of a city or governance area where Citizens and Government officials can meet to perform duties and discourse involving the location, peoples, area, and conduct of a realm. They serve as meeting places for influencers to plan, discuss, and execute agreed-upon actions taken to progress, change, advance, and generally continue with, life and its dealings for a place and its populace.   City Halls are also where trade deals and conduct, transportation, Laws, and justice, as well as guild dealings involving more than one guild usually take place. They take records and keep copies of important records here, although bulk records are nominally kept in archives off property, but often nearby. Registrations and other bureaucratic dealings are daily in City Halls. Votes where voting is legal, are conducted here as well.   As a public building designed for public use concerning the public, most city halls are open to the public. In places where the government wants to keep the populace under a strict thumb and in total ignorance with no say about their lives most city halls have been destroyed and left as a visual warning in ruins, or outright eradicated and no knowledge of such places or reminders of their existence are left behind to "give the peasants ideas". Often, when a place has no city hall it is because there is no diverse populace to require one, or because the entities controlling things don't want the people to gather and interact in a cohesive fashion. Cooperation between people breeds common understandings and strength in unity, what most city halls represent physically, so in order to crush peoples and keep them from working together, the city halls are almost always destroyed, except in the most devious of cases.   City halls are usually represented by a single building or compound, but sometimes it can be as simple as a common square or green, a public park, or any location where the general populace can gather and connect with one another.
