Guild of Florists and Agronomists.

Az-Atla has many guilds. One of little renown is the Guild of Florists and Agronomists. This guild began in the capital city of Ur-Moaza in the small garden of Tilliaique Gorrit, a Gnomish herbalist.
The Guild does not reject the principles of the Devouring Mother or her laws, however they do take a very liberal and accepting perspective to the collection, growth, and use of flora which has been blue listed to The Registry. Membership to the Guild is by invitation only, however, the Guild is willing to supply seed stalk and advise to those who clearly demonstrate and practice their philosophies regarding management, conservation, and use.

Other names

The Guild uses the blue listed flora and fungi to denote who has best knowledge and practice with those substances.
Mr. Frilla Sonnma who can be found at .... is the name of the local member that knows the most about the Frilla Sonnma root, its preparation, use, and cultivation.

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

All members of the Guild and serious supporters of the Guild speak fluent Elvish as a shared language. Elvish is the most artistically robust language and is thus well suited to the Guild's need to express their methods and practices regarding use while maintaining a clear and unambiguous vocabulary regarding growth and conservation.

Shared customary codes and values

Generally accepted philosophy:
No plant or fungi is bad, those who use them make be bad.
Understanding how something grows, leads to safely understanding use.
All flora and fungi are valued, valuable, and useful.
Don't ingest something unless you've seen the soil in which it rooted.
Use involves risk, which must be accepted to fully appreciate the All.

Common Dress code

The only shared dress code amongst the Guild and its supporters is a small pouch with the Guild logo on it. The pouch need not contain anything of value, but it is a sign that you have shopped at a Guild store.

Coming of Age Rites

When a person is first introduced to the Guild itself and after they have supported the Guild regularly, members of the local area throw a party. The person or persons who are being invited to join the guild proper are taken away from the main party and guided through a ritual using a specific mix of substances which are supposed to elevate their understanding of their connection and place in the world. It is hoped that this will solidify their commitment to the ideals of the guild and help them as they take a more active roll.
In this vision/ritual they discover which flora or fungi they must protect and conserve, and then adopt that as their name within the guild.
