Corinthant Merchant Guild

General

Any merchant or travelling salesman within Corinth is allowed to be a part of the Corinthant Merchant Guild, or C.M.G. The only standards are that you must buy your inventory from others and you must move from town to town.
The benefits to being part of the C.M.G. are that the prices of what products you sell have a set range of the prices you can sell them at and the C.M.G. will pay for hiring adventurers in case of monster attacks. Also, you do not need to pay the road tax while you have stock.
To apply to be a part of the C.M.G., you must travel to your nearest Corinthant town or city, make an appointment at a C.M.G. office, and answer the interviewer's questions. within twenty-four hours, the C.M.G. will contact you. If you are accepted, you will be given a C.M.G. pin. The pin that shows you are a C.M.G. member should always be able to be seen.

Political Power

The Corinthant Merchant Guild is very big and also wealthy. The senior members have the money and power to change the laws of Corinth that have to do with the C.M.G. The current king of Corinth 
The C.M.G. also has a positive connection with Howarde's Adventuring Guild. Many adventurers in Corinth spend their time helping the C.M.G., because the C.M.G. pay for their missions to have priority. Some adventurers are even part of the C.M.G.
The Corinthant Merchant Guild once had ownership of the Corinthant Ocean. However, they lost this ownership as part of the Document of Freedom written by New Corrinth to declare their Independance. This has caused the C.M.G. to have a dislike to the people of New Corinth.
