Although the Dragaeyn Lizards have been officially extinct in Eynoria for centuries, many people claim to have seen or encountered live specimens in or around the Dragaeyn Mountain range.

Tales of live Dragaeyn have been around for almost as long as they've been extinct. Every year, more individuals come forward claiming the existence of live Drageyn.
The tales have spread across all of Eynoria. Almost everyone has either heard the tale, or knows someone who claims to know someone who claims to have seen one.
Variations & Mutation
Since the Spiritmeld in 1 Era of Spirits, variations of the stories have started emerging. People claim to have seen half-dead Dragaeyn or Dragaeyn skeletons walking around.
Some individuals, often mocked for the sheets of tin they like to wear on their heads, like to claim that "They" are secretly breeding Dragaeyn, and training a force of cavalry to ride them, and that "The Truth" is being purposefully hidden from them.
Cultural Reception
Such claims have rarely ever been taken seriously. Occasionally hunting parties are formed to hunt these "Live Dragaeyn", and come back empty handed. However in recent years, hunting parties seldom return from the mountains...
Modern stories involving "Dead Dragaeyn Walking" are universally met with skeptisism. The very idea of a corpse walking is madness to most. The Order of the Raven however, they listen closely...

Encounters with, and hunts for Dragaeyn feature occasionally in Eynorian fiction, and is especially common among the lands of the former Dragaeyn Empire.
