Venomous Isles

Off the southeast coast of Amion lies a group of overgrown, tropical islands covered in dense, lush vegetation. Huge trees and choking vines obscure the archipelago from those sailing past. In 509, a scientific expedition sent from Dawnshield landed on the largest island. They found a city of natives; tall, humanoid reptilians. While these natives are generally peaceful, when one of the expedition members accidentally insulted their hosts, the reptilians attacked, and nearly every Avalyran was killed and eaten. Only a small handful escaped to bring the tale back to the mainland. In the years since, few people have ventured to the Venomous Isles, but the ones who have return with stories of a peaceful people, but ones who react to provocation with terrifying force.
