Ya this is obviously a democratic revolution that was cracked down on by the existing power structures. The entire thing is written from the present point of view, so very biased
The revolution that brought down the League of Heroes. While instigated by the twenty, some of the most powerful members of the league, they used vile magics to recruit thousands of peasants, and began marching on towns and cities demanding mob rule by them. The revolt was eventually brought down by other powerful heroes and standard armies, but not before vast numbers of lives were taken. The rapid response by the noble classes and

The Conflict

Prelude

It began with the adventurues traveling around, as they tend to, but as they did they began, through mental manipulation and charm magics, gather vast seas of peasants, enchanted with their ideas of a mob rule, rather than accepting the decisions of the gods.

Deployment

When approaching Lichfield, the knights deployed their regiments to protect the monastry. The peasants were urged forth to destroy the books and collected knowledge, and so massed to attack

Battlefield

The Engagement

The knights and their retinue fought bravely, and managed to usurp control of the peasants from the heroes, causing them to flee from the will of the gods

Outcome

the League of Heroes was disbanded, many heroes were executed for their treason, including all of the twenty.

Aftermath

a tighter grip was kept on the peasants, ensuring they would not be corrupted again. after all, who can deny that the decision of the gods is greater than that of mere mortals.
