Properties
Material Characteristics
The crystal's characteristic is similar to a diamond and an icicle. In its uncut state, the form of the crystal is rigid and rough. But when it is cut, the crystal is clear as it is now shaped into a bluish-white diamond.
Physical & Chemical Properties
True to its name, it contains a large amount of Mana in the crystal that is the same size as a Human and Elf's Mana reserves. Due to this, the crystal is either warm or too hot depending on how much Mana left inside.
Geology & Geography
The crystals can only be found in the rocks at the Arcus Woods due to the high amount of Mana gathered there. The location itself is also the reason why it is exclusive to it as the country of Signatio is known for the large Mana Reserve in their lands as well the forest is also a Mana Landmark.
Origin & Source
The Arcanic Crystal is typically found attached to an Arcana Ore, which is also found in the Arcus Woods.
Life & Expiration
If it isn't used on the Magitech or any magical tools, the Arcanic Crystal's Mana stored within it can last up to 15-20 years.
History & Usage
History
Not is known about the Arcanic Crystal's origins, but it was theorized that it was created due to the excess Mana coming out of the Arcus Woods after Seiryu's inception.
Before its public discovery, the crystals are heavily guarded by Seiryu and his cohorts due to his paranoia of people misusing the resources including the Insignis race. However, in year 242, the crystals are discovered by Alto Bright in his journey to improve Lucidus's life. When he asked to Seiryu about them, he was challenged out of pure rage from the Azure Dragon alone. Eventually, he barely won the bout and gave him a trading deal to calm him and cooperate with all races for the sake of Volo.
Eventually, Alto used the crystals to invent the Magitek technology, which eventually spread throughout the kingdom of Lucidus and eventually, Signatio and Terria.
Discovery
The Arcanic Crystal is first discovered by Alto Bright during one of the Royal Magicians' expeditions. His research on its characteristics led him to invent the Magitek technology.
Everyday use
The crystals are often used as a power source for many Magitech gadgets and inventions. It is also used for creating magical tools imbued with the Arcana element.
Reusability & Recycling
Even if the Mana is completely depleted, the Arcanic Crystals can be remade into Lucet Crystals. Because of this, the depleted crystals are resold to jewelry stores for a higher price.
