Skink (Playable Race)

Skinks vary in size, and typically have a hardened set of scales on their heads to aid them in burrowing through earth and protecting them from danger. Many creatures prey on skinks, and because of this the skink has developed various defense mechanisms, including the ability to shed its tail and regrow it to evade predation.
Commonly found in deserts, mountains, and grasslands, skinks blend in well with their environments, and when among the sprites serve as reliable armored mounts and friends. They are commonly used by anti-magic teams, as they have natural magical defenses.
Skink mages have an affinity for elemental lores, and an aversion to the Arcane Lore.
