Tzelzìa̰n Myrinosha̰

Freed from the shackles of the Saḏēsuḫbōṯ Haretk̀īhe, the Tzelzì retook their ancestral homes and reorganized themselves into a power to rival that of their lost empire. Rather than a single country or monarchy, this new tzelzìan front is a federation of like-minded city-states joined together for mutual benefit.

The past 250 years have been good for the Myrinosha̰. They've established themselves as a trading power in the sidhai with a strong market of lumber, medicine, and rare alchemical ingredients. They've even been able to establish a diplomatic relationship with the descendants of their However, recent encroaching upon their southern border by the Dargani Empire has left some in the Myrinosha̰ with an uneasy feeling that history may soon repeat itself.

Structure

The Tzelzìa̰n Myrinosha̰ is lead by the Niphaponh, or Senate, which regulates foreign affairs, and internal matters as related to functionality and adjudication between city-states. While the Niphaponh may settle border disputes, control internal import and export tariffs, and hear cases involving political asylum between city-states, they are not allowed to challenge laws on a regional scale.

Individual members of the Niphaponh are called "Niphapìn", and their leader is the Irrophapìn. How the Niphapìno are posted to office varies, depending on the laws of their home city-state. The number of Niphapìno per city-state is also dependent upon the number of citizens represented. For this purpose, the Niphaponh conducts a census of all legal citizenry every ten years.

Working both alongside and beneath the Niphaponh is the Morrupìk; a body of agents charged primarily with enforcing the Niphaponh's regulations. The Morrupik agents are stationed in each city-state, and may be assigned to investigate breach of Myrinosha̰ law by either commoners or heads of state.

Most matters are resolved internally by the Morrupik, but large breaches of the law, such as treason or corruption, or declarations of war are taken before a special convention of all Tzelzìa̰n Myrinosha̰ heads of state with the Chorìnoshka̰ presiding. This is known as a Ìkìk pan Nitzar, or "Correction of Balance." Such conventions are rare.

History

The Tzelzìa̰n Myrinosha̰ was founded twenty-nine years after the Route of the Saḏēsuḫbōṯ Haretk̀īhe freed their anscestral lands from a centuries' long occupation.   During the interim between occupation and the Tzelzìa̰n Myrinosha̰'s founding, the disapperate resistance cells who had led the charge formed independently organized groups of Tzelzì survivors. The largest of these groups went on to become the modern tzel pan tzerinoshao, or city-states. Each city-state has its own history, governing system, and arrangement of subcultures.   Though the city-states were independent of one another, the Zìa̰nka Chorìn, who had survived with their hierarchy scattered but technically in tact, managed to reorganize quickly into a collected whole. It was the intervention of their newly elected Chorìnoshka̰, Mitzihakita, which prevented a civil war when in-fighting between city-states came to a head.   After many discussions, the Treaty of Mitzihakita was signed by each head of state and the Tzelzìa̰n Myrinosha̰ was born.   Under this treaty, the city-states keep their autonomy within the boundaries set forth by the Niphaponh; a council composed of representatives as elected by the laws of their city-state. To this day, the Niphaponh is responsible for setting for rules and regulations concerning foreign policy and adjudication between the city-states. Their enforcement arm, the Morrupìk, watch each city-state to be certain they are operating according to Niphaponh policy.
