Zomaian System

The third planet from the Zomaian sun is a life-bearing planet called Zomain where four distantly related species of sapient evolved at the same time on separate continents. Over time they discovered one another and some struggled for dominance over the others, leading to conflict and forcing non-violent civilizations to team up to cover each other's backs. This is a war that lasted millenia and extended it's reach to many inhabited worlds beyond the Zomaian planetary system. This war was stopped by the intervention of a far more powerful species who held territory in a more distant part of the galaxy, but who viewed the invaders as a plague and spared those who sought asylum under them.   Now they currently claim the planet and are working on restoring it's biosphere.
