The Lost Keep

Far beyond the last known settlements in the north even beyond where the tribes of roaming barbarians will tread there is a keep. A battlement built in a bygone era and frozen in time. This keep is the last place in the world of Zodia Accapia that Aryennos set foot. It was here that she found her new purpose and in finding it the very places she walked became frozen to time. For you see it is here that she was spirited away by the Goddess she so devoutly served and as a reward for her services granted the Light Seer a wish. Aryennos chose to wish for the ability to remain timeless and see the world unfold before her. In the event the world should need her again, she wished to be there to see it and do what needs to be done.
For this to happen, however, a sacrifice had to be made. Sacrifice was one thing Aryennos knew all too well and agreed to the terms. As such the keep became locked to time and the cold harsh winters blew in from the north blanketing once fertile farmlands in a swath of ice and snow. For as long as the Light Seer keeps watch upon the world so too shall the north remain frozen to time and blanketed in never-ending winter. There in that keep lies frozen to time and encased in ice the body of Aryennos the Light Seer. Only to awaken when the world needs her most.
