Saieron's Bells

Named after their shape and function, Saieron is known in Haven as the breath of life and these plants are said to be lifesavers in medicine. The plants are of a medium height for a flowering plant with hanging bell shaped flowers of a light blue color. When the petals are taken from the plant and crushed up in a mortar and pestle, mixed with the juice and pulp of the plant itself and applied to wounds as a salve or poultice the properties of the plant speed up the healing process and prevent infection.   While the plants appear mundane in nature they actually have a slight magical aura to them which is part of what gives the plant its healing properties. The magic itself is a residual effect of the origin of the plant for it was made as a result of Fae magic being introduced to local flora and fauna. Thus it is only possible for the plants' pollen to be collected and harvested by a certain species of bees known as fae bees. These bees were altered in their morphology and structure by the Fae on a whim.   No one is quite certain why this happened but the benefits of the plant have outweighed any nagging suspicions or worries thus far. As a result these plants are often used by apothecaries in the creation of healing potions when not used for simple first aid.

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

The plants produce a pollen that must be harvested by Fae bees otherwise it will not stick to the bees and spread to pollinate other plants. Due to the magical nature of the plant it can cross pollinate with other species of mundane plants within the forest it is located and spread creating more of itself and overtaking other local fauna.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The plants have no sensory or extrasensory capabilities.
