Session 14: Disrupt the Harem Report

General Summary

While the island burns above them, the group contends with Espa's blatant interruption into a Bugbear's privacy. Satashi and Shalelu discover how difficult it is to shoot longbows in a small underground room, but Ameiko was smart and packed a rapier with her crossbow. Espa turns into a large (Medium) snake and dives into close range. Ameiko delivers an incredible killing blow with the rapier into the bugbear's back, angled up towards his heart. He bellows again and falls dead.   Satashi realizes that this is the same bugbear he'd seen leading a group of goblins to raze the farms southeast of Sandpoint -- Bruthazmus. Before they can interrogate one of the goblin concubines, a human man stepped through a door. There's another skirmish, and they manage to defeat the man -- though his large sword gets good hits.   They discuss whether they should explore or leave before the fire razes the whole island, and decide to check out the strange red lights from down the hall. They find a creepy temple room, with a statue at one end of a beastial woman holding two glowing kukri in front of a stone altar.   Unearthly howls ring from two creepy canines which dash across the air to attack. The three ladies kick the dogs' ass but Satashi steps in and gets the final blow. However, the howls probably alerted the whole complex.   They start exploring. Espa takes a look through the workbench off of the torture room and found a set of keys. Ameiko and Satashi head back towards the entrance to loot the bugbear and human fightgar. Down the hall he came from, they find five bedrooms. One of them was Tsuto's -- Ameiko finds papers of his drafted plans to blackmail their father and use the Glassworks as staging for investigating the "Catacombs of Wrath".   The group collects themselves and heads north to find a room full of crude goblin drawings. One depicts a super cool, angry, big goblin inside of the island. They also find a war room with plans for the second raid putting it planned 2 weeks out. They find one side of the dungeon is more of a natural cavern with sounds of the ocean, and decide to return there if they need a way out, but don't explore thoroughly.   Past the war room, there is a small room full of mining equipment where they locate a secret door. It leads down into the darkness of the second basement level.
