SUBHEADING

CREDITS

To meet a Calaevian is to meet Iron in a human body.
Is the dominant subculture in the lands of House Calaevin and Beckdon, although an argument could be made for the Beckdon branch to be another subculture. It is also the dominant ehtnicity in the lands of House Fordland, although it exists mainly in the more developed and populated north. It is one of the three ehtnicities in House Sychan, existing in the lands that border Beckdon.

Art & Architecture

Calaevians are not known for the Arts, with less examples of writers, poets, painters, and others that ply in the artists trades. Of the arts, painters are the most prominent members of the Calaevian art scene. Paintings and other illustrated works in the Calaevian culture tend to have a realistic quality to them, with the masters of their craft being suspected of nefarious means by the more delusionanary fanatical members of the populace.   Architecturial aspects of buildings within the Calaevian culture tend to lend more towards function over form. Buildings tend to lean more towards stark, unornate structures, with little flair that doesn't serve a purpose in the structure. Structures are also made of finer materials then would normally be found for a typical structure of a particular purpose and age. Many buildings built have lasted hundreds of years, with some structures that serve as homes for the nobility, castles, and forts number into the thousands of years with very little wear showing.
