Wing Giving

History

It started when the Jiddosian settled. Since they were multiple cities and they had to go farther to hunt and find some ressources, they had to find a way to  keep in contact with others. They started training birds to be messengers between them and a few mages created a ritual to bind a bird with someone in order to have them understand each other better and live as long as the other.

Execution

When a child becomes an adult (at 17), they are drugged by some herbal mix known only by the mages, cut on their wrist and sent to the Bird Forest where a bird chooses them. The bird can be any bird. It drinks a bit of their blood from the cut and then they both pass out for three days and are bonded when they wake up.
