Hall of Heroes

"Look there, child. Right of the moon and past the darkness. Those never constant stars is the Hall of Heroes. It is the place where all our great heroes rest." - Olympian Priest
The Hall of Heroes is a group of stars that seem to move, change, or change in number on any given night. It is the place where the Olympian gods place their greatest champions and heroes afters they die. This place is said to be peaceful and full of energy where the heroes may do as they wish for the rest of eternity. The changing pattern denotes the movement of the heroes and new heroes admitted entry.   The scholars of Mélemardor acknowledge this strange constellation and do not, as of yet, have a non-religious explanation for the phenomenon. With what tools they have, the elves have deduced that the changing stars have to be magical or divine in nature as they do not appear to follow any patterns or laws that other celestial bodies seem to. Any inter-planel travel to the theoretical "plane" of the Hall of Heroes has failed. Given no other explanation, those scholars have reluctantly accepted that the constellation is the work of the Olympians until other evidence to the contrary arrives.

History

It is said that the Hall of Heroes was created by Zeus to honor followers of the Olympians who are found to be extraordinary. Those that were admitted would be given more of a paradise for an afterlife rather than the hum drum fate given to those in the underworld of Hades. Over the course of history, many heroes have been admitted and the constellation itself has constantly changed. So much so that it rarely appears the same on any two given nights.
