The accidental assassination of a king
Reapers are born and kept enslaved their whole lives through, but every once in awhile a reaper gets loose, and if his wings are already marked for death, he won't be looked for. the queen of the kingdom of the Rising Sun is centuries old, and has always been alone never expecting or looking for romance.
The queen has a venom which she uses to sting her people to make them a part of her hive mind. A downside to this is, she secretes this venom on the outside of her body, meaning those who touch her die and those who even near her, fall ill. This has led her to a very lonely life in which all those around her keep a safe distance of about ten feet or more.
When a handsome reaper came to town, newly escaped from his life long enslavement, she was intrigued by him. She had never before met a reaper and told him he would be welcome in her kingdom and treated as an equal. She let him stay in the palace while he got settled and of course, he spent much his time talking with the queen. The fell in love and she was sad knowing she could never be near to him physically. They found out through their time near each other her venom didn't seem to bother him and they soon discovered Reapers are immune to her Venum. The queen finally had her king and she had never felt such joy in her life as to have someone to love, to have, and to hold.
She soon became pregnant with an heir to the throne. This should have made the immortal queen sad because her impartiality would end when her son came into her power, but the queen was ready to grow old with her king and see her daughter queen.
Too bad they didn't know his wings were marked for death, and one sad night he passed without a clue beforehand it was his time. When the queen learned The Kingdom of the Moons had worked her husband to the grave it started a fire in her heart which is eating her up inside. Many are unaware of the game she plays. She feels the Kingdom of the Moons ruined her life and killed her king. The kingdom of the Moons doesn't know any of this has occurred.
The queen has decided to avenge her husband and free his people and she's prepared to watch the world burn to make this happen. For now, she plays the long game. Zenna doesn't know what she has in store but a war has begun and it will be bloody.
