Summer Camp 2024 Reading Challenge
Check out my original pledge here Summer Camp Prep 2024 FINISHED Week 4.
Well, that was fun, I found the experience excellent for building out heaps of articles for my world, although towards the end I felt my motivation beginning to dip, but overall I had fun and am looking forward to further events.
I took the opportunity of the challenge to develop a lot of metaphysical aspects of my world that I have been thinking about, and as my world is still young this was a great opportunity to get them written down. I also got to write about a few ideas I have for future campaigns and just things to flesh out the world in general. On reflection, I wish I had used this opportunity to build on more aspects of my current campaign but it's not the end of the world.
It was great getting to talk about all my ideas with my friends and seeing their reactions to the ideas that have become relevant to my current campaign is very exciting.
Overall I'm very happy with the work I've done, although I don't know if ill keep all the articles I wrote, or some may need to undergo a rework now that the limitations of the prompts aren't necessary, regardless of that I had a lot of fun. A highlight for me would have to be desperately trying to get the last few articles done while watching the wrap-up stream on Twitch, the sense of community that gave was astounding. Over the next year, I am hoping to have fleshed out a great deal of the world as it is relevant to my current game and perhaps have much of the basics for a few other campaigns ready and waiting. I am thoroughly looking forward to the next challenge on World Anvil. Articles I read for this challenge:
