Sloperstop

Sloperstop is famous for its mountains but more than that it is famous for its blacksmiths. The vast amout of resources in the mountains attracted the finest blacksmith talents in the land to come to Sloperstop and exhibit their work. The most famous of these smiths is the bastard Angus Forgeheart, a man famous throughout the land as a tremendous blacksmith providing many a piece of armour and weapons to kings, hero and demi gods across the world.
However, the blacksmiths are not the richest or most powerful memebers of the town. One family holds a monopoly on the mining of resources from the mountains, the Highbridges. This family holds complete control over the town both through their wealth, but also their ability to refuse sale of their resources to any who displease them.
One month prior to this adventure Angus Forgeheart had wed Heldi Highbridge, the sole heir to the Highbridge corporation. Some in the town have the suspicion that this was a purely political move by both parties in order to sure up their interests in the town. The newlyweds have been on their honeymoon ever since to the lakes of Kaaa but were due back the morning previous to the starting point of this adventure.
