The Jaw of Dirst

The Jaw of Dirst is one of the few remaining body parts of the ancient practitioner Dirst Daræ'elthæn. Dirst was a powerful spellcaster who focused in necromancy, enchantment, and abjuration. During his life Dirst was feared and outcast by those around him. He preformed many "intense" studies on prisoners as well as the terminally ill and is believed to be the reason behind necromancies still shady reputation. He claimed his experiments were a way to cure the mortal condition and achieve what others like the Rishad could not. It is said he also used mindless undead servants to assist him in these experiments. Other stories have filtered down throughout the ages, with many scholars referring to him as a maddened member of the Dærekht. When asked however, the elves simply do not comment on the existence of Dirst, let alone his heritage. It is also rumored that Dirst was very close to completing his research and upon his death was separated and scattered across the world so the horrors he visited in life could never come again in un-life.   His body parts are said to be some of the few permanently enchanted objects in the world. This is supposedly a stain left upon his body as a result of his experiments upon himself. His jaw specifically is rumored to be capable of commanding the undead as well as those without aura, the latter being a recent addition to the rumor. Its true capabilities are as yet unknown but any attempt to find and study the parts of Dirst have been unsuccessful, despite best efforts of several nobles. A group of elven warriors have been seen searching for something within Eskarina and their refusal to explain what is similar in nature to the closed-mouthedness shown for any topic surrounding Dirst.
