Zaev~Jor

Near the equator on the world of Zaev-Jor-sitting on the edge of the Laterenian Desert and in the shadows of the Macalem Peaks-a small, once nomadic, society grows in the area that they once called the Duclasean Fields. It is now known simply as Duclas.   As a fledgling society developed from their nomadic lifestyle, a prophecy was fulfilled; a charismatic prophet emerged to lead; disease and dispute split the people; and a natural disaster changed the landscape forever. Yet the people of Duclas continued to grow and even thrive.   But the foothold of civilization is a tenuous one.   Having survived natural tribulations, it was an unnatural test that led Duclas to the brink. When a magical storm tore open a rift in reality, Duclas was beset by giant insects and shambling carnivorous plants never seen before. Though the monsters were mostly driven back, Duclas lost nearly half of its population before the rift was successfully sealed. Their water supply tainted; most of their children gone or dead; and under the stewardship of a new leader; the people of Duclas attempt to rebuild their shattered lives and broken settlements. Basic supplies are low, the people need heroes. This is Year Zero.
