Blue Crows produce bright blue feathers long about three inches. Those feathers are long and narrow, are of a brighter blue at the end lighter near the shaft.
Origin & Source
The feathers come from blue crows, a special breed of crows used as carrier for official messages by the free city of Vapore. Feathers that fall during the moulting are more valuable, and are collected and sold by breeders in lieu of the Lord of Vapore, the one who holds the exclusive right on every blue crow, but there are also poachers who kill blue crows illegally to get their feathers.
Life & Expiration
Blue feathers are extremely delicate, and lose color if exposed to strong heat or washed.

It is forbidden to hunt and kill blue crows for their feathers, as they officially belong to the Lord of Vapore. The lord gives out special permits to breeders to own a certain number of blue crows.
