I pledge to fulfill the Worldember challenge of writing at least 10,000 words in the sole month of December. This will require a focus that I do not normally have regarding world creation and creative writing but I feel like it's time I put in the effort. This challenge will most probably give momentum to my own creative process which has been all over the place for more than a decade.
As this world has no foundation yet, I will use December to build some of it. Here is what I plan on writing about:
WORLD FOUNDATION - The Behemot Islands [300 - 500 words]
Describe, from the eyes of someone living on a floating island, what life is like.
WORLD FOUNDATION - The Below [300 - 500 words]
Describe, from the eyes of someone living on the continent, what life is like.
WORLD FOUNDATION - Etheryl Crystals [1,000 words]
What are they, how did they influence magical creation, and why are they so important for the Behemot Islands
URANYLL - The Land [1,250 words]
This is the island of the World Above where the first campaign will kick-off. A generic description of the floating rock's geography, topography, climate, flora, and fauna is of the utmost importance for the GM and players. A map will have to be created.
URANYLL - An Introduction [1,000 words]
This section will generate more sub-articles (at least five) as the populated areas will be briefly described.
URANYLL - The People [1,500 words]
This section will describe what races are found on the island as well as their culture and impact on the world they live in.
URANYLL - The Powers [2,000 words]
This section will discuss the island's power hierarchy and generate its own sub-articles. The government, the military, the priesthoods, the arcanists, and other organizations will be defined. People of note will also be introduced in this section.
ARUNDOHR - An Introduction [1,000 words]
Arundohr is the main city of Uranyll and the location where I plan on starting the first campaign. The physical description of the city will fall here as well as the districts' breakout. The reasons why the town's location was selected in the first place will also be touched upon and basic information on its population will be mentioned.
