Salesira (Salesíra)

Salesira is one of the seven Prime Arcanists of Tondo Talestro, currently First Chair and acting as the formal tie-breaker for any equally-split decisions made by the Prime Arcanists. She was also one of the former queen's High Arcanists, the one responsible for the first attempt to overthrow Ilysandra and the one publicly executed for her treason.
It is uncertain how Salesira survived her execution, but it is suspected that a sympathetic witch was responsible for saving her life when her body was tossed aside. It is very difficult, but not impossible, for an anima healer to revive a briefly-dead body if its soul is still attached and vivacious. Regardless, Salesira vanished from the city, presumed dead by citizens but smuggled out along with her allies as exiles.
Demons had infested the wild lands around the formerly-barricaded city, and most of the exiles were easy prey. Salesira was kept alive, by her own reports, by Óhúlial Lethóstras, now-master of telemancy.
In the time during her recovery, Salesira helped establish a small, secret, fortified base to keep her fellow exiles safe. Their mana provisions were barely sufficient, and Salesira became one of those visibly scarred by long-term mana near-starvation. Her frame is gaunt and emaciated, and her silver eyes are slightly milky even over the black sclera. She keeps her white hair cropped shorter and often wears a scarf or high collar around her neck to partially conceal the horrific scars from her execution.

T. Melostral: They took in exiles and refugees, gave us shelter and food. Mana was scarce, but it was more sufficient than the rations had been, and many of us on the brink of starvation recovered enough to stay alive.
I was one of those. I don’t know how long I existed on the fine line of starvation and survival, but it was long enough that my body and my mind were irreparably changed. Damaged, technically.
Salesira obtained allies from outside our little island. For the first time since the city was built, outsiders arrived on boats and through magic. Salesira amassed an army to support her haggard group of rebels, and in time, she brought war to the streets of our city.
