Kathel (kat-hɛl)
The Kathels see themselves as the sole rulers over Ynora, only allowing other folks to live on their land. Tracing their line back to the founder of Pahisamraam, Glonwen, even the calendar was reset when they made their appearance on the face of Yðuun. Extremely religious, fair-skinned and white eyes, and mostly educated, they see themselves as the navel of the world, and in fact, they are the prominent cultural influencers on their continent.
Following the fragmentation of Pahisamraam, the Kathe Empire lasted for a while but eventually split in two, when a part of the Kathels decided to worship the New Gods. At this point in time, only a small piece of the original West Kathel Empire is left in the area Samraam.
While even Samraam was annexed by the East Kathel Empire in III, 2, 579, militant radical religious groups are trying to protect this area, in which the Kathels came to the surface of Yðuun according to legends, and their cultural identity. Terrorist attacks and kidnappings happen on a daily basis. The East Kathel government, on the other hand, tries to settle this conflict by diplomatic and political means.
