Twelve Clans
The Twelve Clans oversee the Kaulstone Mountains, and function as both guilds and noble families. They are exclusive to mountain dwarf society.
Structure
The Twelve Clans are as follows:
- Geitar, which is the ruling clan and the one responsible for management of internal affairs.
- Hefthar, which is responsible for metalwork and smithing.
- Bardar, which is responsible for the recording of dwarven history and the administration of religion.
- Feldar, which is responsible for working with gemstones.
- Andhar, which is responsible for agriculture and horticulture.
- Gedthralar, which is responsible for masonry and stoneworking.
- Vrenshandar, which is responsible for military affairs and the border guard.
- Fangar, which is responsible for managing the mines.
- Urzhalar, which is responsible for diplomacy and management of commerce.
- Hrothgar, which is responsible for healing and management of inns.
- Kothar, which is responsible for work with textiles and the production of silk.
- Inutar, which is responsible for carpentry, woodcarving, and forestry.
