Holy Mirror of Tyr

The holy mirror of the goddess Tyr is one of the most important of the relics and magical artifacts related to the godess. Today it lies on the Sanctuary of the Goddess at the city of Banias, in the Kingdom of Brire. For centuries the artifact has been known to the native elven communities for millenia and have been protected in the holy cave where the goddess is said to have been raised .   Many have desired to own this sacred and powerful object but only those that use it in the name of justice can unleash its power.   For example once the barbarians wanted to stole the object asaulting the holy city of Banias, but they were repelled by the brave veterans now turned colonists like Crysanthos, the veteran warrior and the brave members of the local Adventurers guild who resisted the attacks until the Brirean army arrived to free the city from that terrible siege. Since that day  the city is heavily protected by an strong garrison and walls and the holy mirror is protected day and night by priests and soldiers.

Also, thousands of pilgrims come every year to the city to worship this sacred object that shows the power of the goddess. Even a pilgrimage route has been created that runs through various temples in different countries and regions that hold relics related to the goddess of nature and, of course, one of the locations of the aforementioned route is the temple of Tyr and its Sacred Cave at Banias

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The way the mirror works is very simple. One of the many things that the holy mirror can do is to reflect light from the sun creating a great beam of light that can blind momentaniously any enemy army that decides to attack Banias or the Brirean army as sometimes the mirror is taken from the sanctuary to be used in battle if the situation is desperate.   Also the mirror can create illusions, for example it can project the image of an army, or a person, or a mythological creature in order to confuse or scare the enemy forces. But it can also create magical barriers made of trees that can either protect their users or surround the enemies.   In order to wild it, according to tradition, one has to be of pure heart, respectful to the Gods and lover of justice. This place is usually reserve to the High Priest of the Temple of Tyr in Banias. Who usually recites a prayer or spell twice both in oronai and elvish that says like this:
Oh dear goddess of nature, protector of animals, men and elves, who is the wife of the One who sees it all and that is full of wisdom, we ask you for your intervention using this object so precious of yours, in order to save the Brirean people from evil forces that wants to create caos and destruction in this, your precious, sacred and beautiful home
