The Harem

Vilayielle, the half-orc empress of the Aesean Empire, has a harem of seven highly trained veterans from the army. Usually dressed in frilly clothes and lounging around (sometimes serving food and drinks), these personal guards are intentionally designed to look as unintimidating as possible. Using this indulgence as a ruse, she easily brings them to political meeting, both as knowledgeable advisors and as personal guard. It is nearly impossible to catch her alone, as she is always in the company of a minimum of two. In this way, the two would also keep each other in check. Not that this would be required - Vilayielle is a very popular empress and picks her guard with great care. Xyvener uses harems as a term including all genders. Vilayielle may be known to revel in the joys of the flesh, yet the soldiers of her harem are not required to be available for her to touch. Although they are all welcome to join her in bed at their own discretion. As an inside joke, each member of the harem is assigned a sin which encompasses their key role next to protecting and entertaining their empress.

The Members

The job of Pride is to note any individuals considering themselves above the law, keeping an eye especially on the nobles. Pride is also usually best connected to the military and shares any news or strategical changes with the empress. (Fighter Type)
Envy is in charge of spotting liars, possible usurpers or otherwise dangerous people as soon as possible. They are great at coldreadings and seeding doubts. (Sorcer or warlock type)
Gluttony will hand out food and refreshments to the guests. Slinking around with keen eyes, they are in charge of noticing anything that visitors might try to hide - such as cheating, consealed weapons, notes being passed or signals given. (Rouge or monk type)
Greed is the coinmaster of Vilayielle, keeping track of currencies, credits and debts, and expensive objects, specifically magical. (Wizard or artificer type)
Lust keeps an eye out for Vilayielle's popularity, and how she could possibly improve it or use it to further her standing and goals. They are the best connected with the public (Bard type)
Sloth ensures that the harem is taken care of and spends enough time in rest to be as effective as possible. They heal any injuries and have the last word in a decision whenever Vilayielle is unable to make a choice. (Druid or Cleric type)
Wrath is the executioner. They kill on the empress' comand and usually do it within seconds of the sign. (Paladin-ish or Barbarian-ish)
