Petrifying Situation

Scenario 2: Off to Yon Tower
The team enters a room and sees a petrified man and computer, they then detect a threat which turns out to be a medusa which they decide not to attack and instead starts communicating with it after Hunt creates a "screen" allowing them to look at her without getting stoned - as well as understand her language. Her memories are fuzzy and she doesn't think she was always a Medusa.
Leaving Hunt and Emily - their Elven Researcher/attachment from the Triple A - to deal with the petrification problem while Debreu and Paradigm going out to scout the local area.
While scouting, they come across an orc who is being attacked by a yellow musk/flytrap type variant creature, apparently entranced. They defeat the plant but a half dozen shriekers start shrieking and Debreu quickly neutralizes them - not before the orc falls into the area and releases a cloud of spores - which he is now inhaling. Paradigm creates a shield around himself and pulls the orc from the area, Debreu uses an “Arrow of Healing” and heals him.
Upon returning they find that Hunt has reversed the petrification on the fellow (Mr. Stone) and the computer. Paradigm says, “We sure could use Jessica” and after a momentary blink of darkness (which only Paradigm and Debreu notice), Jessica is where the pink haired space elf was. Debreu thinks someone is playing games, but Paradigm has no idea of what was done. After conversation and much talk, it comes to Paradigm that he triggered the malleable properties (essentially a form of Alter Reality) of this minor outer plane in the astral plane; Hunt explains it’s a variation of a theory called “Flux and Anchor” where the properties and objects of the realm can be controlled by a sufficiently mystically aware and focused being. Paradigm’s wish for Jessica was fulfilled by a sufficiently strong desire (it was actually a group desire) and circumstances being in alignment (the medusa was actually the presence linked to the computer which is actually the Oracle).
