Obligatory Bar Room Brawl

Scenario 3: Wrong End of the Rainbow   They cross over to the next pocket dimension wanting to deliver the rescuee back to her home. They come to a tavern with a decent handful of locals and a few orcs. Debreu apparently does something to upset the locals because a bar fight is hanging in the wind. Suddenly a waitress trips and tosses a sticky glowing substance that lands on the nearly invisible Paradigm.   We quickly find out that the locals don’t really like wizards as they yell out “Dark Wizard,” all riled up to attack. Paradigm notes that there’s a shadowy presence which whispers “Strength of Legion” and the handful of orcs grow in power. They become two groups of three, each group with the strength of an entire squad. Debreu manages some Jackie Chan style stuff, pinning down one group of Orcs. Mark Hunt tries to do the same but it’s not as simple as it looks. His doesn’t look as good. Paradigm makes it over to the piano and the bartender starts to take a shot at him which Debreu causes to miss by chucking a glass at his head. The bartender’s second shot takes out the piano while Paradigm and Debreu are dealing with the two orc groups and the local barfolk.   Paradigm bends the area to his will and the piano is repaired which he starts to play, putting everyone in the bar to sleep almost instantly. He then seals the area against the mischievous dark leprechaun. Mark Hunt gets it to tell him his true name (well one of them) and it becomes a font of information, telling them of the dryads and hamadryads that live in the wooded areas, the orcs who are waiting to ambush things from the top of the cliffs, and it’s not sure what lives under the hills.   They banish the little evil creature and begin a stealthy recon under the hill. The recon sprite comes back with dire images. There’s a creature there, likely a demon, who was eating a person and in another chamber, the sprite saw a person appear above a sacrificial area. Paradigm quickly realizes it’s the receiving end for a sacrificial altar. Seems to be a recurring theme in these parts.
