Goblins
The goblins of old were scavengers and prey animals who figured out the quickest route to survival: hook up with a bigger,
tougher species. They became a servant race to the other folk
on Homeworld, mostly orcs and humans. Now, post-exodus,
some goblin groups are struggling to create their own identity.
Common Traits
Goblins have rallied from the brink of cultural extinction to become known as adaptable tinkerers. While not exceptionally hardy or tough, they are brilliant at making the best of any situation thrown at them. Curious almost to the point of pathos, their small, secretive, unobtrusive nature causes them to be seen as sneaky when they are noticed - which is typically not much because they tend to be ignored - a refined survival trait. They are gifted with stealth, sometimes at a naturally occurring mystical level. Like all non-human folk, they can see well in low light settings, though not as nearly as dwarves. Goblins are known as master procurers, and their ability to tinker, modify, and repurpose things is quite phenomenal.Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
Most goblins use the naming conventions of their
host cultures, sometimes pulling from different backgrounds
to create odd names like Mateji Fletcher or Rebecca Darkblade.
Major Organizations
A hidden source of pride amongst the goblin folk is the oft-rumored Shadow Fleet, a mobile fleet sized repository of accumulated goblin intelligence.
