A Certain Pirate Queen
Debreu and crew arrive at Port City on Serenity and go looking for the Pirate Queen. Dee finds their original "spotter," Claudia, who agrees to get them to a meeting with the Queen.
She has arranged a heavily "chaperoned" tele-remote meeting in the Warehouse District, negotiations are straightforward: Debreu wants a pound of flesh for be punked, and the Pirate Queen wants repayment for the loss of a very valuable shipment.
Amusingly, though they can see the Pirate Queen on the screen (she is heavily shadowed, though), she communicates directly to Claudia through a phone (which sounds like the banker's phone on Deal or No Deal - and yes, a Hot Button complete with lid showed up for some unexplicable reason).
Claudia sees which way this is going and steps down into an armored hatch. Debreu decides that her version of payback, even though very generous by the standards of the local economy, is not an option and makes one last stand of "No Deal." Dee shakes his head as he realizes that a lot of people are about to get hurt.
In the aftermath that ensues, 5 are killed - one of them Debreu's crewmember. Dee had to bring his full fire powers to bear to protect them from the bombs that had been planted under their seat.
Claudia rises from the armored hatch to the wreckage and heads off with the Team. After walking awhile, her phone rings. The Pirate Queen wants another meeting.
