Benefits
Society-funded housing and food. Political immunity. Society-issue uniforms. Access to basic required resources for living, such as firewood. Social power.
Accoutrements & Equipment
A brooch or coat-fastener emblazoned with the Society-Standard Eye. Black, leather boots, halfway to the knee, with an imperceptible heel. A long, straight, dark coat, with a cowl attached. (The cowl is ostensibly for colder weather.) A quill and some parchment. A handful of gold, for emergencies. Society-issued personal identification. A small, easily concealable weapon; a dagger, for example. A small vial of fatal, fast-acting poison, three doses. Other equipment depends more on the specific role of each Representative.
History
Title created at the time the Society first came into power, outlined in one of the Society's original, more practical manifestos: The First Acts. Detailing the intended use of this new Order.
Cultural Significance
The unexpected appearance of a Representative on one's front door is never a good thing. Children, couples, whole extended families - once or twice, entire neighbourhoods - have been known to vanish overnight at the hands of these men.
