Notable Beasts of Xeovis

This bestiary is a submission for the February Bestiary Challenge on WA, and does not contain all the beasts found within the world of Xeovis, and some entries may not be filled. I am working on it, but the book comes before the WA badges.

Wings

The Nightmare Moth is a massive insectoid creature that dwells in various regions in the world of Xeovis, predominantly warm climates such as the swamps near the Zanchich Lakes region of Nashata on the Western Continent and the forests within the wildlands on the Eastern Continent.

Stripes

The Golden Antelope is a generally docile striped antelope with a golden-orange mane and two large horns for defense against wild predators. It was commonly hunted as game by the elves who live on the plains of Reichia, its native home. The creature is a beautiful sight, and its horns and hide, when properly butchered, could fetch the hunter significant coin.

Horn

The Great Horned Afk is a large, furred, cloven-hoofed mammal similar in appearance to a boar, though larger, and with a razor-sharp horn on its forehead that it commonly uses to defend itself against predators.

Shell

The Victortal is a small (generally up to 30cm), beautifully colored frog-like shelled amphibian that has been used for its poison gland or for the euphoric effect given to an unprotected handler.

Colorful

The Plumed Eel is a colorful eel that is eaten as a delicacy by many tropical inhabitants, though it is generally reserved for nobility.

Nocturnal

The Askewat is a nocturnal bird of prey with keen senses.

Mythical

The Celestial Stag is a creature of myth in the world of Xeovis. There has been no concrete evidence of its existence, though tales of it have been spread far and wide, with variations between stories.

Prey

The Tenyoko is a type of game that is prevalent in almost all regions of Xeovis. It is a relatively small quadripedal animal with black fur and cloven hooves, and is commonly hunted for sustinence as well as for the horns.

Monstrous

The Hollow Rekki is a massive, monstrous creature with multiple sharp-barbed tentacles. It generally hides in large bodies of water, but will also use cave systems as a home, and is incredibly territorial.

Danger

A Kotokonu is a massive venomous snake that will also squeeze its victims to death like a constrictor. It is said to grow to twenty meters in length and has the ability to swallow a massive animal such as an elephant.

Purr

The Kununpe is a large jaguar-like creature with black fur, standing nearly six feet tall with all four of its legs on the ground, and will often stand on its hind legs to show dominance, standing five to six meters in height. It is an incredibly agile beast, and despite its large size and menacing physique, is rather docile toward humanoids, especially leonids and elves.

Roar

A zegenkuru is a medium-sized beast, similar to a dog in appearance, though closer in size to a dire wolf, with an orange-yellow mane around its neck. Its roar often belies its size, with a deep tone and intense pressure upon those who hear it.

Shriek

The Hollow Kegugyu is an incorporeal bipedal beast with large wings and three glowing sections on its torso between the wings. It is an incredibly difficult foe, as it can only be fought using magic, or by binding it to its corporeal form using a ritual.

Howl

The howl of a Toke Toke sounds like a wailing scream which has the ability to kill those who hear it, if the victim is not strong enough to survive the attack. Beyond the initial howl, the beast is a formidable opponent with sharp claws and a stout constitution, with an agile and quick movement.
