The Heart of Religion This tome is for all that wish to worship one of the many Gods & Goddess within this universe. This book is to be distributed to all temples of worship and is to be handed out without material exchange.
Chapter 1: The Beginning
The God-Pharaoh is the ruler of all Gods. The God-Pharaoh made the Old Ones and the now current Gods & Goddess the universe. The God-Pharaoh granted the Gods & Goddess the power to bend the Weave of Magic to create whatever they so desired. The God-Pharaoh then left to seek other universes to create.
In the beginning, all Gods and Goddesses got along and made the world of Mo-kesh in the Material Plane. This Plane is where approved creations of the Gods & Goddess made their home. They also made the elements, water, fire, earth and air. Each God & Goddess had their own area in the Astral Plan where they would create their homes. Two Planes were made for testing creations which each God & Goddess made. For the Broken creations, they made the Shoadowfell, a place of darkness and evil. The last one is the Feywild. This place is where a strange mix of magic and creatures have made a world all unto itself, keeping way creatures that were not meant to be on the Martial Plane. The early Elves have visited this place and have come back with different magic’s and teachings. Unfortunately, as you are just starting to worship so this information is restricted.
Of course, peace can only go so far as greed, lust for power, jealousy and cruelty started to infect the Old Gods. From that point on, all we know is that there was a war fought amongst the Gods in the skies and on the world of Mo-kesh. We can see the scars on the world and in the sky at night.
Out of the fires of war, the current Gods & Goddess rose from the flames to now rule all of us. Ra the Sun God was the one who guided the good to victory and so was appointed by the other Gods & Goddess to rule over them so that this would not happen again. The Old Ones were then banished away on a different Plane altogether, sealing them away so they would not harm the new age of peace. The Gods & Goddess now sit away in their respected Astral Plane, giving guidance to all of us who listen, not to interfere or create any more.
Chapter 2: The Gods/Goddess of the universe
We are ever so blessed to be given the chance to worship any God or Goddess we choose. Unless you are worshipping one of the Old Gods if so, you must put this book down immediately and report yourself to the nearest authorises, so that they may hang you for treason!
But how many rose from the flames of war you may ask. Please see the list below of all of our blessed Gods & Goddess and their related religious symbols:
Ra, god of the sun, ruler of the gods: Eye of Ra Anubis, god of judgment and death: Black jackal Bastet, god of luck, music and balance: Mostly a cat effigy but there are many other depictions of her Osiris, god of nature and the underworld: Crook and flail Ptah, god of crafts and secrets: Mechanical clock Set, god of darkness and desert storms: Coiled cobra Sobek, god of water and crocodiles: Crocodile head Thoth, god of knowledge and wisdom: Ibis with Cresent Moon
So now that you’ve picked one of your God or Goddess you wish to worship, you must begin to pray once an evening to see if the chosen God or Goddess responds to you in kind. There have been instances that they have rejected someone as their ideals did not align with theirs and some, they were accepted straight away. There is no strict timeline in which they communicate back so please be patient with them. Do not be disheartened if you are not chosen by your first selection, there are many others to choose from!
Chapter 3: The Hierarchy
Now that you’ve been in contact with your God or Goddess you are now on the road to enlightenment. There are three tiers:
1. Worshipers 2. Acolyte 3. Devout
Worshiper You are a worshiper who will need to continue to commune with your chosen God or Goddess and give gifts to appease them. Over time they may request your assistance in a great task. If you complete this you move on to become an Acolyte. The rules of land must be respected as you are still in the very early stages.
Acolyte In this tier, you must prove you are worthy of being by the side of the God-Pharaoh!
A God or Goddess is chosen to oversee one of the five trials that you must complete and instructs the initiates who are preparing to face the trial, helping them to cultivate one of the five aspects of mortal perfection: Wisdom, Knowledge, Strength, Speed and Charisma.
BE WARNED! THIS IS NO EASY TASK! TRAIN, LEARN, PREPARE AND BE PATIENT!
Once those tasks are complete you become one of the Devout!
You must respect the rules of the land but your word will reach higher in a place of the court. If you can justify the action you had to take was to be of the good of the land, you may be pardoned.
Devout
You have made the final step to enlightenment. Here you may be given powers of the God or Goddess you worship and now start the trails to prepare your body to be able to be by the side of the God-Pharaoh. You can test your skills against other Devout in the Arena at any place of worship to gauge your strength, you can study and learn to gauge your intellect, perform to show how charismatic you are or you may find your own way to express your God or Goddess.
And when the time does inevitably comes, your body will be covered in liquid Adamantine so that you will be by the side of the God-Pharaoh when it returns in the Hour of Eternity.
The rules of the land must be respected but you rule as part of other Devout at any place of worship. The final word on any ruling is made by the God or Goddess themselves by communicating with all that are present in the court.
Chapter 4: The Hours
As you may or may not know the God-Pharaoh is set to return to see what our perfect Gods & Goddess have created. They are known as The Hours Of Revelation. We do not know when or how these hours will come but that is what is told by all Gods & Goddess. There four Hours that are part of his or her return, the Hour of Revelation then the Hour of Glory, the Hour of Promise, and finally the Hour of Eternity.
This is what has been written in texts of old: o All questions will be answered during the Hour of Revelation. o In the Hour of Glory, the Gods/Goddess and the untested will prove their worth before the God-Pharaohs return. o When the Hour of Promise arrives, the God-Pharaoh will gift those who stand by the God-Pharaoh. o The worthy will meet the Hour of Eternity and earn a place at the God-Pharaoh's side.
