Xayti

This is a planet that exists in an alternate universe. A much more pliable universe, where the laws of physics can be bent and reality itself can change. In other words, magic exists in this universe.   The deities of this universe have an active role. Directly altering the course of events by interacting with people and/or the world itself. Some go as far as to have children with mortals, producing demigods. Three types of gods exist in this universe. The gods of life, the gods of corruption, and the gray gods (what each of them do should be obvious by those names).   The history of Xayti can be divided into 4 eras. The Era of Creation (when the world was created by the four gods of life), the Old Era (from right after the creation up to the birth of the first dragons), the Era of Dragons (pretty self explanatory), and the New Era (from the fall of the dragons up to the present).   The world of Xayti is home to various intelligent species. The two most common are humans and fairies (or fae). These two species are very similar though not identical in appearance, but have very different cultures and lifestyles. That is because fairies rely more on the use of magic and the help of the gods than humans do. This planet is also inhabited by fish-people, spider-people (half humanoid/half arachnoid), a species of intelligent monkeys, as well as intelligent reptiles and birds that claim to be the descendants of dragons.   All civilisations on Xayti use pre-industrial level technology. With humans and fae using tools of iron or bronze, and monkeys and spider-people using tools made of wood or stone. The monkeys actually used to be more advanced (both technologically and culturally) in the past, but have since regressed. The spider-people on the other hand, have never been able to advance further because of their fear of fire.
