Personal history
Early Years
Aditya was born in a small town along the coast of Thandava, known as Ayuni Cove. When they were born, The Glass War had already begun two years prior. Ayuni was the first town occupied by Paladin forces, and the The Order of Martalia soon got to work on "reeducating" the elves. Their birth parent died from wounds inflicted by the Oder, leaving the newborn to a teenage friend, Katala. Katala protected Aditya, becoming a mother to them. She taught Aditya of their Elvhen faith in secret, defying the teachings of the Order. However, she herself was never taught everything, only fragments of teachings from now dead elvhen priests. The Order's tactics grew harsher with time, and Katala decided that they would not live as slaves any longer. When Aditya was around 7 years old, they escaped in the night from their town. For months they lived on the run, barely surviving in the Estreallan Wilds. Aditya barely survived an attack from a changeling, and would have died, if it had not been for the Maena'ha happening upon them. The assassin organization had a base in the Wilds, where the paladins were too inexperienced to traverse. Their leader, Samendra, decided to save the two upon hearing how long they were able to survive. They remarked that nobody without knowledge of the Wilds should have survived that long, yet they did. However, their generosity came with a price. The River
From that point on, Aditya was trained in the assassin ways along with Katala. They felt blessed by the gods in the beginning. They were given education, training, shelter, freedom from the Order. Even learning to fight and kill was liberating in a way. But soon, Samendra's true personality came to light. As the war went on, and Katala proved to be a talented killer, she was given the nickname "The Phantom Wind," and became one of Samendra's top subordinates. With this new title, she became more and more removed and cold towards Aditya, the child she once nearly died to protect. Aditya became lonesome, and afraid of Samendra's wrath, quickly finding that they could be just as cruel as the Paladins. The only person who showed true kindness, although secretly, was Samendra's younger sibling, Saran. At age 12, the war with Estea finally ended. Samendra and Katala, along with other prolific assassins in the organization, helped The Red Glass to assassinate Emperor Kratoch. Now the Maena'ha was given more freedoms by the Thandavan government, becoming the nation's new protectors. It was around this time that Samendra became more ambitious, selling their services to whoever had the most coin. It was also around this time that they decided Aditya was ready to join the assassins on the field, taking jobs and paying back their training. Aditya made their peace killing for hire, but did not heed Samendra's warnings: There was no room for love in this life. At age 14, Aditya fell for a local girl in a town where they had an ongoing job. Her name was Nesreen, and she was Aditya's first friend and kiss. However, Samendra caught wind of the relationship, and fearing that Aditya would abandon the Maena'ha, killed Nesreen. Samendra threatened the same would happen to Katala, or anyone else that seemed to replace them in Aditya's heart.for love
For the following four years, Aditya swore off love out of fear. They became the perfect assassin, one of Samendra's favorite. They got to work with Saran more and more often. They even got to see Katala more, though in reality, their relationship was more distant than ever. Despite the warnings and the past, Aditya could not help but fall for Saran. And Saran felt the same. They hesitated for years, never daring to say anything to each other. One night, when a mission nearly went awry, Saran confirmed their feelings for Aditya. They knew they shouldn't, but the joy and happiness they got from being near each other seemed worth the risk. After all, this time, they were sure to keep it a secret. Aditya was sure things would work, even as a secret. That is, until Saran began to act strange, saying odd things. Then, Saran was sent on a mission and never returned. This particular mission was troubling: to kill Vannuil, a prominent member of the Red Glass, ally to the Maena'ha. What was worse, it was The Order of Martalia that hired the assassins for this purpose. It seemed that Samendra would sell out to just about anyone for the right price. However, Saran did not just fail. They betrayed their sibling, helping Vannuil to escape and evade the Maena'ha. Why, Samendra never explained. They simply told Aditya to finish the job by any means, and bring Saran back for punishment. Now that Vannuil was lost to the wind again, only select few people would be able to get to him. Being given a lead, Aditya now tails an unsuspecting mage and ex-Paladin, unwittingly leading them to their target.Gender Identity

Aditya is the quiet sort with a hot temper visibly boiling beneath the surface. Growing up in an environment where love was a weapon to be used against them, they feel it’s safer to lash out first and foremost. Typically, harsh sarcasm and biting remarks do the trick to keep others away. That is, if their scowls and hot headed nature don't do that already.
Aditya firmly believes that their worth is wrapped up in their physical abilities and what they can give to others.
