Alondite Steel

Extraordinarily rare material said to be leftover from the old world. Operate as an enormous power source (Stores a large amount of magical energy) and could potentially be used in machinery but is incredibly difficult to forge. This material is said to have only been found in meteorites as small stones, but it has been found as long spike formations that were later modified into weapons, most commonly a lance or blade of an axe. It is said to have some connection to the gods or beings from other planes.

All attempts to reforge or break down the material has been met with strong resistance from the metal. Not only has it refused to melt or even change temperature from an incredibly cold 26 degrees F, it also on occasion has been known to rebound causing an incredible magical explosion. Attempts to draw energy from the material has been met with similar resistance.

On its own, it appears to have a similar texture to plain steel but is noticeably dark charcoal in color. When wielded, though extremely unstable, the weapon erupts in purple flames and emits a powerful dark magical energy.
