The Brewmaster's

Those who are called to work with a Mortar and Pestle and ingredients, should not fear their calling. Brewing is a profession of love.
— Kaldren
  Motto: Brew Unto Others

Greeting:

  • Call:May the Animas bless your tankard
  • Response:And may you be thirsty nevermore.
  Core Beliefs
  • An empty cask is worthless
  • Taste is a luxury, a Brewers main focus should be on effects.
  • Brews and Potions make the world go round.

History

The Brewmasters are a relatively young guild, at just 213 years of age, but they were born from the merging of two older guilds:

  • The Animists: An Alchemist guild dating back to the early 13,000's.
  • The Cask Keepers: A Brewers Guild Dating back to before the Reman Empire landed on Volkyr.

Hierarchy:

The Flame Keeper

The Flame Keeper administers to the Herbalists and Alchemists of the BrewMasters. There is only one Flame Keeper position with the guild, and only death would see the Flame Keeper replaced. The current Flame Keeper is Orin Totami, a human druid with an affinity for alchemy. Though there are no official obligations for the Flame Keeper to live at The Ivory Thorn, a BrewMaster guild hall located in Stonespire. The Ivory Thorn is an alchemist/herbalist heavy guild hall, though all BrewMasters are welcome.

The Cask Keeper

The Cask Keeper administers to the Brewers and Sommelier members of the guild members. Only one person may hold this position at a time, but elections are held every 5 years. Jarry Silvertap is the current Cask Keeper and has held the position for almost 20 years.

The Brew Maester's

The Brew Maester's are Managers of the individual guild halls across Volkyr, and most of these guild halls are glorified taverns or alchemical shops. The Brew Maesters see to the local needs of the people of Volkyr; Sale of wares, Protection services, acquisition of rare alchemical and brewing ingredients, etc.

Afterward, you can uncork the jug as an action and pour that liquid out, up to 2 gallons per minute. The maximum amount of liquid the jug can produce depends on the liquid you named. Once the jug starts producing a liquid, it can't produce a different one, or more of one that has reached its maximum, until the next dawn.

Contracts and Requisitions

There are number of ways to earn renown within the guild and climb the ranks of the BrewMaster's. Early contracts include dispatching beasts for rare resources, transportation of goods from one outpost to another or assisting small towns with outside threats. Depending on the size of the outpost, there may be one person who handles all the contracts or there may be multiple people who are handing out different types of contracts.

Steward

A Guild Hall Steward can be found at most Guild locations and are often found near the main entrance to the Hall. They typically offer Renown Milestone rewards, as well direct players toward guild contracts. On rare occasion, they have been known to have contracts to fill as well. These contracts are normally search and rescue missions for lost items or guildmembers.

Renown:

Gaining Renown: Completing contracts will earn you a certain level of renown within the guild. The more contracts that you complete, the more renown you will receive. It is imperative that quests be completed with honor and minimal destruction to a communities property or the expected renown you would have received will be reduced.

Losing Renown: The easiest way to lose renown is to create and sell subpar wares. Brews or potions that fail to produce the expected effects may result in a poor reputation. This is especially true for consumable that produce food poisoning.
